Ange Postecoglou gives his last speech as a Tottenham manager, after a serious deliberation by the board they've finally relieved him of his job, I saw that coming anyways, despite winning a major trophy for them and qualifying for the Champions League, I knew they were going to sack him based on the teams poor performance in the EPL, well he's done his best and kept to his words by winning a trophy in his second season with Tottenham.
I don’t know some of us here might feel about this news, but it’s a sad news in my opinion because he put in his best effort towards winning the URFA Europa League. He rescued the team from not winning a trophy for almost 20 years, he made the team very proud as he won a European trophy which should be something the management should be happy on, but their decision of sacking him was the best for them.
Nevertheless, he has broke the deadlock and they will definitely be proud of him especially the players because they are happy they won the Europa League.
Can't wait to see who Tottenham would appoint as their next manager but according to Ben Jacobs, Tottenham's considering Marco Silva and Thomas Frank as the next in line to replace Postecoglou, those are Premier League experienced coaches but not major trophy winners, if Tottenham wants to do well in the Champions League they should go for someone with Champions League experience, except their priority for the next season is fmishing in a better position than they did in the last one.
They are used to sacking managers despite how good they did, therefore, I will not expect any reputable manager to join the team because they will sack him regardless of well he performed for the team.
Ange spent exactly two years and won them a European trophy; while Arteta of Arsenal spent five years and he is yet to win any official trophy for the team and he is still there because the team management are very patient and believed in him. Ange also had a better first season in the Premier League, I think he doesn’t deserve this treatment at all.
However, let’s wait and see who they will sign and what can he do in the Premier League.
