Ange Postecoglou gives his last speech as a Tottenham manager, after a serious deliberation by the board they've finally relieved him of his job, I saw that coming anyways, despite winning a major trophy for them and qualifying for the Champions League, I knew they were going to sack him based on the teams poor performance in the EPL, well he's done his best and kept to his words by winning a trophy in his second season with Tottenham.
Can't wait to see who Tottenham would appoint as their next manager but according to Ben Jacobs, Tottenham's considering Marco Silva and Thomas Frank as the next in line to replace Postecoglou, those are Premier League experienced coaches but not major trophy winners, if Tottenham wants to do well in the Champions League they should go for someone with Champions League experience, except their priority for the next season is fmishing in a better position than they did in the last one.
Although I wasn’t too surprised about Tottenham releasing Ange Postecoglu but was just shock of their boldness because ideally I expect them to have a rethink and possibly want to keep him for another season after he got them their first trophy in more than a decade or was it that they studied Manchester United situation with Erik Ten Hag and they didn’t want to take chances too, so they just cut it short
The only problem will be who will be his replacement, both Thomas Frank and Marco Silva are mid table team managers and Tottenham job might seems a big step in the challenge for them even though their respective clubs are placed above Tottenham. It will be a big experiment though to sign of the managers but with the success of Eddie Howe at Newcastle the club improved further and this two are in same class as him in my opinion, let’s see how this will turn out
One of the important questions in this case is whether we know the full truth. What is written in the media is one thing, but what is true is another. Perhaps it was Postecoglou who has his desk full with offers from other, bigger clubs because of the success he has had now with Tottenham Hotspurs. Ultimately it is those tiles that count and he has one, so I wouldn't be shocked if he got offers from some of the best clubs. It depends whether there is a free spot anywhere, but if there i a free spot, I think from now on he will be offered those spots.
