While I deeply appreciate the gesture, it (currently) feels weird for me to accept donations from users for forum-related work (I've been paid by theymos for the work spanning 2024 and 2025; there was also an old arrangement covering some of the work I did in 2023, but I asked theymos to donate that balance to the Tor Project).

I'll be stepping down at the end of 2025, to focus on other (undecided, but likely still Bitcointalk-related) projects. Because I'll no longer be on the payroll, at that point I'll feel much less conflicted about accepting gifts.

Be careful what you wish for. I was made a merit source during that last big round of adjustments, and I can tell you: it's a tedious and thankless task that you're never quite sure you're doing correctly.
