In my opinion, it's because rich people don't chase losses like those who are poor do, and they also don't take gambling as their full time job. I know the rich also gamble, but their view on gambling won't let them get addicted. I have never seen any underprivileged person who gambles for fun. They always have big expectations on every game. With this kind of mindset, tell me why they won't get addicted?

Many poor people take gambling as their source of income, which is very wrong because these are the things that lead to gambling addiction. The rich don't have to think this way because they have other ways to generate money without hustling or stressing themselves, which helps them avoid the negative effects of gambling.

One thing I will say, concerning the rich and the poor is there mentality and how they see gambling to be. The way the rich see it is, gambling to them is like a fun thing and like what you have said, they don't see gambling as a source of income that can generate income for them, it is normal and that is how they see it, so definitely they can never depend on that.
Whereas the poor see gambling as an opportunity for him to take advantage and become like the rich man, one day, but all this will never count. What the poor man always think is how much he can be able to get from every gamble he tend to make. So this is there variances.
