I think you are correct in your assessment regarding Citizen's United in that our current Supreme Court has been under the influence of money as a priority for too long.

Even if we were to get money completely out of campaigns, we have such a long road ahead.
As citizens our minds have to change and how is that feasible when news is entertainment instead of informative?

Now that regulatory agencies have been gutted or neutered: industry (conscious-less 'establishment' entities that have the rights of persons without the responsibilities)
are gaining even more access and power than ever.

You have a federal government actively going against its people. Covering up an international child trafficking ring while using force against its citizens.
Bragging about how much profit they are making.
Funding the demolition of Gaza so that their buddies can build it back for profit, Building Alligator Alcatraz for profit  ----the oppression is loud and proud but 39% of Americans still approve of the job Trump is doing.

I'm not sure if we know how to be free anymore.
