Well we could do what my other league's commissioner decided to do without input from anyone else and just make forced substitutions on inactive teams. Needless to say this proved to be extraordinarily unpopular. 

Some kind of comedic shaming of the last place player is also a good way to go about discouraging the abandonment of their team. But I don't feel that would be right this year. Maybe it can be part of our next season's rules.

Oh. A good punishment for us might be "you have to write 10 serious posts in Altcoin Discussion praising an absolute shitcoin" ... except for me that could actually be kind of fun
