Not really, but I sometimes compared whether I was gambling like them or not. It is very important just to know if we are heading far from what we did before, because sometimes we don't see it. We only get surprised if someone tells us. It is some sort of awareness. At least we know our current situation.
Making a comparison between your gambling and that of others is not mostly the best when it comes to ascertaining wether or not you're gambling responsibly or not. The most realistic way you can gamble responsibly is by being sure the amount you're using is something you can afford to loose and that you're in charge of how much you're spending in your gambling. You're a responsible gambler when you're in total control of your gambling.
