Those with gambling addictions typically crave winning, and some individuals hunt for winnings by trying different casino games. I believe these individuals are easily influenced by influencers.
Influencers will influence those who are truly addicted to gambling, but wise individuals won't be easily swayed or even easily ignore them.
Gambling influencers usually have the strongest effect on people who already chase wins. when someone is in that mode where they jump from one game to another hoping the next one will finally pay out they are easy to sway. an influencer shows excitement shows a big win shows a moment of luck and the addicted mind connects to it right away. it creates the idea that if they follow the same platform or the same game they might get the same result.
Someone who is disciplined or someone who understands gambling for what it is doesn’t get moved that easily. they see the content and they know it is just marketing. they can ignore it without feeling anything. but a person who is unstable will take that same content as motivation to gamble more and that is where the real risk starts.
Following influencers does not make anyone a better gambler and it does not guarantee winning. if anything it usually makes people more vulnerable because influencers only show the good side. they show the wins and the excitement but they never show the losses or the long dry periods. it builds a false image of gambling that pushes people into acting on emotion instead of logic.
