Bro the last time I checked I think Manchester United has tried both young talent and old experience but nothing seem to work out for the team could it really be players issue or not getting the right team manager that can actually bring up a better tactics to compete for the European competition, because if we talk of players Manchester United has got almost what it takes to even win the English premier League title but because of not having a better manager the team still suffer, to me Manchester United problem ends when they got the right manager for the job or else their struggles still continue.
I think that football is all about finding the perfect match, if you have a very good quality coach but don't have the perfect players that can execute his playing systems, the top coach might not be able to deliver a better result for the team since he doesn't have the perfect players for his team.
Like in the case of Manchester United, when they had better manager in ole Gunnar solskjar, Luis van goal and Jose Mourinho, they refuse to support them with the types of players those managers needs, now  they are supporting the managers that are not good enough to win the league for them, so that's what it is. This is why Manchester United is still struggling after so many years sir Alex Ferguson left.

There are other important things that can have a big impact, besides the ones you mentioned, that is club management. We all know that since Man United was controlled by the Glazers, the club's management has been in disarray, and I think this is the reason why Man United has had a hard time getting back on its feet. Glazer's priority is profit and financial gain over their performance and achievements on the field, therefore, he doesn't really care about the quality of the Club as long as he still makes money.
