I absolutely understand what you mean, you are beginning to look at him like a mysterious person, yeah but the dude was right, he prayed for a miracle, and the spirit lead him to gamble and he won, the miracle he prayed for happened, since he was never a gambler, he has no business continuing to gamble because it's simply not part of him, and don't be surprised if he had continued to gamble, that would have been out of greed for more of what he got in the first win and this would have destroyed him.

Just like the FedEx CEO who took the last $5k to gamble while the company was at the verge of going bankrupt, he won and saved the company through the money he won, the story did not tell us again that he continued to gamble afterwards, he possibly stopped.
