Atalanta were far superior in every aspect than Cagliari. In fact, they had 16 shots, eight of which were on target, putting Cagliari's goal in jeopardy. I can't imagine how many saves Cagliari's defense and goalkeeper made. Of those eight shots on target, they only conceded two goals.

And here, after Cagliari equalized at 1-1 in the second half, the situation became quite complicated. Scamacca finally scored the winning goal for Atalanta in the 81st minute.

I think scamacca is beginning to find his foam this last couple of weeks, he has now scored 4 in his last 3 games for Atalanta, scored a brace yesterday and it really helped Atalanta pick all 3 points at home. Well it been a season of ups and down for Atalanta and even being able to pick all 3 points yesterday they are still not in the top 10 in the league and they could go down if other teams played their match today. They have been very inconsistent and that has being their major problem this season.

I gamble on 3 goals to be scored, when Cagliari scored I was very happy because I knew Atalanta will be very motivated to get a winner, my bet came through and I really hope today again I get that much luck again. Well it was an interesting game and Atalanta got their deserving 3 points.

Atalanta really needs Scamacca to get back to his best form soon, but it's not just Atalanta that needs it, he needs it too, and especially Italy, which doesn't have a real striker who can help us make the leap in quality and get to the next World Cup.
So I hope for him too that he doesn't suffer a relapse of his injury.
