Real Madrid are currently in 7th place in the Champions League and maintaining their place in the top 8 looks like an easy task: games against Monaco and Benfica remain. The situation in La Liga is much worse, as Barcelona has a four-point lead, but Real Madrid currently has almost exclusively easy games coming up, so the situation could change. Naturally, if Real Madrid keeps dropping points, Xabi will be in trouble.
Curretly Real Madrid at 7th standingbposition behind 12 points of 6 matches playing, has two matches left against AS Monaco as home match and facing Benfica as away match. If can get 6 points behind two matches left I think Madrid will secure the top 9th position and directky qualifying to 16 of round without facing team at the playoff round match. I can't sure yet Xabi Alonso keep secure with his position if loss points upcoming two matches left, losing from Manchester City make difficult positiin for Madrid and become second loss in Champion League phase league round match. For awhile, Arsenal has 100% winning ratio in Champion League match and almost guarantee qualiying to 16 of round, its amazing performance Arsenal unbeaten and winning all 6 matches for awhile. I think Arsenal will unbeaten for phase league round dur two matches left against Inter Milan and Kairat.
