5th match of Asia Cup U19 between Pakistan and India is underway after winning toss Pakistan U19 chose to bowl first, this was a good decision as they got an early breakthrough, star India batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi failed to have good inning still Aaron George 85 and Kanishk Chouhan 46 done good job for their team which ended their inning in 46.1 overs for score of 240 runs. Pakistan U19 was exceptional in bowling their bowlers done good bowling and never allow India batsmen to play freely, Abdul Subhan and Mohammad Sayyam take 3 wickets each now Pakistan already started their chase.
Pakistan start slow but good start as after end of 3 overs they are having 10 runs without any loss.
Yes I also think Pakistan U19 had made smart choice by choosing to bowl first and they were soon rewarded by having best batsman of India out early. But India came back well due to Aaron George who made 85 runs and Kanishk Chouhan with 46 runs that saw them score a total of 240 runs in 46.1 overs, mostly due to fact that Pakistan bowlers, especially Abdul Subhan and Mohammad Sayyam, 3 wickets each, bowled very well and made the pressure high. Pakistan have now started their chase of 241 runs and if we take a look on current situation so we will see that Pakistan U19 has made 21 runs in 8 overs. They are going little slow. I hope they will make a speed to chase this target.
Pakistan U19 certainly made the right decision by making the choice to bowl first, and the fact that Vaibhav Suryavanshi was taken by the initial wicket supported that choice. Their bowlers maintained the tightness all through the innings and they never left the Indian batters to have their way. Credit to Aaron George who played a well in 85 and Kanishk Chouhan who played a supportive 46 that enabled India to have a competitive 240 notwithstanding the continuous pressure. Abdul Subhan and Mohammad Sayyam were exceptional ballers with each having three wickets and dominating the middle overs. To this end, the pursuit of Pakistan has begun in a tentative manner, which is quite normal in a U19 game. But wickets in hand will require them to ensure they pick up the rate of scoring gradually to keep pace and evade undue pressure towards the tail-end of the innings.
