Besides what PrivacyG said, I wouldn't use public charging ports with my mobile phone, tablet or laptop. I would at max charge my powerbank from a public charging port.
My mobile phone allows me to configure how the USB-C port responds and what functions are provided. My default is to only allow charging, no data transfer or similar. If I want my USB-C port of my mobile phone to do something else, I'd have to explicitly enable it.
Yes, less comfortable, but more secure in my opinion.
