He answered with a nod and said he prayed for a miracle to happen and something inside him leads him to gamble that day, since the problem is solved he has no business to keep gambling.
I am even starting to look at him like someone who is more than what he seems like, if you know what I mean.
This might just be one of the smartest person/gambler I have ever seen, just from the story alone you can tell that he’s a very logical human being and not those people who based most of their life choices around superstitions. If he was superstitious trust me he would have become a chronic gambler because he’ll start to look at that past act as something that he’s meant to do and he’ll take gambling like his life depends on it and probably ruin his life along the way.
He was quick to figure out that it was all luck, not some signs or anything related. He just got lucky, God knew it wasn’t his mother time to go and so made him lucky enough to win the money needed for the treatment and if he had gone back to keep gambling so as to recreate the same win again, he’ll only just be displaying a greedy act which would have made him regret his life’s decision.
