Real Madrid managed to secure a narrow victory over Alaves, even though they had to struggle to secure all three points. This victory is actually not surprising, as Xabi Alonso squad is clearly favored in many aspects. The pressure on Xabi Alonso may slightly ease, but his future is still not entirely secure. Rodrygo is slowly starting to reclaim his place, and today he scored a goal again.
The first half was boring, but Alaves put up a strong fight in the second half, making the match entertaining as they gave Real Madrid a tough game. Real Madrid were lucky to have a narrow victory because they didn't do anything special than Alaves. But I'm still happy for Real Madrid success has they closed their points gap with Barcelona.

Real Madrid was not awarded a clear penalty after a foul on Vinicius. It should have been 1-3 that was obviously a foul. There were many refereeing mistakes in this match. They also called offside on Alaves’ goal. Luckily, there is VAR technology.Xabi has proven that he is a good tactician and deserves more respect. The media criticize him unnecessarily, and there is a lot of pressure on him, but he knows how to handle it
The referee officiated the match well, both Real Madrid and Alaves were playing aggressively, and the referee still coordinated the game without issuing unnecessary cards. But his only mistake in this game was ignoring the Vinicius foul which I believe was an obvious and clear penalty. I think he might have ignored it to give Alaves a home advantage.

The referee officiated the match well, both Real Madrid and Alaves were playing aggressively, and the referee still coordinated the game without issuing cards anyhow.
