I don't know if you can still directly mine solo in your node, but usually the solution is to host a pool because miner units prefer to use stratum connection to mine.

If you use Bitcoin Core CLI, there's argument to mine Bitcoin[1]. But last time i tried it (few years ago), it only works on regtest node.
