Rodrygo has always been a star in this team but I don't know why Xabi does not want to work with him appropriately. He wasted his time trying to make him play on the left and now it's Rodrygo that saves him his job. He deserves a special apology from Xabi. He scored a goal in each of the two games Alonso felt his value and give him a chance to prove himself and he proved he never belong to the bench. The proper formation for Xabi suppose to be Rodrygo on the right and Mbappe on the left. He's not taking Vini place but he should be given adequate play time too.
Real Madrid will truly regret it if they let a player like Rodrygo leave the team. Players like him deserve more playing time. Although I understand that competition at Real Madrid is fierce because there are so many good players, Rodrygo deserves more opportunities. I don't know what the reason is that makes Xabi Alonso seem like he doesn't really want to keep this player. Since last month, I have read a lot of news about Rodrygo potentially leaving Real Madrid.
