 In cases like that, any goal is normally and logically allowed. That wasn't the only incident that benefited Marseille. In European leagues, it's better to be one of the two or three top teams as they are always favored by the referees. A penalty not given and two goals disallowed for marginal offsides was too much for Monaco, who certainly didn't deserve to lose this match. Despite VAR, the refereeing heavily influenced the outcome. Who knows, maybe their fixtures was for Marseille to win game by all means possible? IMO, it wasn't a good game at all... It became boring the moment I realized things weren't done the right way.
