It's actually wise to use a credit card, and the more credit cards you use, it's BETTER. I'm not telling you to be in debt. I'm telling you to use it responsibly, to pay your bills, AND THEN you'll be building your credit score.
Higher credit score = higher credit limit = better reputation for C.I. houses.

Well, the thing is Visa and Mastercard earn a lot of money because the vast majority of people end up doing the opposite. As you say, if you use your credit card responsibly and pay it off without interest the following month, it usually has advantages. But there are many who start with that idea and end up deferring payments, thereby paying high interest rates.
