Exactly. I think people wondering if Bitcoin will return to $100k are actually asking about the short term, not the long term. Because in the long run there is no doubt about bitcoin, but unfortunately in the short term, no one knows what will happen. All we can do is speculate.
Traders are much concentrated about the short term performance of bitcoin price and not for the long term because it's where their chart analysis for profit making covers. And I think these two perspective for making profit from the bitcoin market is what differentiate the traders from investors. Investors would always think of long term and wouldn't mind accumulating more bitcoins regardless of whether the price will rise shortly or not.
Of course, that's the difference between traders and investors even though both basically want to generate returns. Traders tend to work hard all the time analyzing and monitoring market movements, while investors tend to wait for the right moment to enter and accumulate. Both have the potential to make a profit, but most investors have more long-term plans for financial freedom. Investors don't always think long-term, but they certainly have a relatively longer time frame for holding their assets than traders.
