Milan drew at home against Sassuolo and suffered a significant loss of points. Teams aiming for the championship should not drop points at home against teams that are, in their view, slightly weaker. Although they took a 2-1 lead early in the second half, they were unable to prevent the goal that came in the 77th minute. With this result, Milan now trails Inter by three points.
Fiorentina are struggling to win. After losing 2-1 at home to Hellas Verona, Fiorentina are rapidly heading towards relegation.
